1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Smart River Shore website and to any enquiry or order you make with us. Smart River Shore is a small studio in Minato City, Tokyo, that makes plain underwear for women. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. Using this website
You may browse the site and contact us for lawful, personal purposes. Please do not try to break into the site, overload it, copy it in bulk with automated tools, or use it to send us anything unlawful or abusive. We may block access if someone does.
We may change, pause or remove any page without notice. We try to keep the site accurate, but we cannot promise that every page is free of mistakes at all times.
3. Our pieces and how they are described
The home page lists our current everyday bras, briefs and sets with a short description and a price. Photographs on this site are there to give an impression of the fabrics and the mood of the range. They are for illustration and may differ in colour, cut or detail from the piece you receive. If you need to know exactly what a piece looks like or what it is made of, ask us before you buy.
Sizes follow standard Japanese measurements. A printed size chart is not yet on the site, so please tell us your usual size when you write and we will say whether it suits the piece you have in mind.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in Japanese yen. Whether consumption tax and delivery charges are included, and what they come to, is confirmed to you in writing before we accept an order, so that you always know the full amount first. We may change prices at any time, but a price we have confirmed to you in writing will not change for that order.
5. How an order is made
There is no online checkout on this site yet. The Enquire buttons on the home page lead to our contact details. To order, write to us or call us with the piece and size you want. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order in writing, by email. Until then, nothing is binding on either side, and we may decline an order, for example if a piece is out of stock.
6. Payment
How you pay is agreed with you before we accept the order. We never ask you to send card numbers through this website. If anyone asks for payment on our behalf by a route that was not confirmed in an email from softveil@gmail.com, please contact us before you pay.
7. Delivery
The delivery method, charge and expected date are given to you when we confirm the order. A delivery date is our best estimate and not a guarantee. If a parcel arrives damaged or if the wrong piece arrives, please tell us as soon as you can and keep the packaging.
8. Returns and exchanges
Our return rules are set out in full on the Return and Refund Policy page, and they form part of these terms. In short: you may ask to return a piece within 14 days of receiving it, as long as it is unworn, unwashed and in its original packaging with proof of purchase. For reasons of hygiene, underwear that has been worn or whose hygiene seal has been opened cannot be returned unless it is defective or the wrong piece. Return postage for a change of mind is paid by you. We replace pieces that are defective or damaged on arrival.
9. Content and copyright
The text, layout and brand name on this website belong to Smart River Shore or are used with permission, and the law protects them. You may read and print pages for your own use. Please do not copy, republish or sell them without our written consent.
10. Limits on our responsibility
We take care over the pieces we describe and the information we give. Even so, to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that result from your use of the website, from links or maps provided by third parties, or from events beyond our control. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under Japanese law, and nothing limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy, which you should read together with these terms.
12. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute about the website or an order cannot be settled by talking to each other, the Tokyo District Court will be the court of first instance with jurisdiction, as far as the law permits.
13. Changes
We may revise these terms. The version on this page on the day you place an enquiry or order is the one that applies to it. The date at the top shows the last revision.
